Self portrait

A somewhat more somber self-portrait from 1996, very close in style to his self-portrait No. 268,
yet executed in one of his darker, more depressive moments of that time. With a few strong black lines around his jaws and his eyes he alludes to the form of a skull, his skull, and thus stresses the insight he had on his own lurking demise.
