Together with his wife and two children, Reindl took the habit to travel and camp every Summer through the Eastern part of Canada (Quebec and the Gaspesie Peninsula, Nova Scotia, Ontario, etc) in order to discover the landscape, villages and people of his new host country. Various paintings bear testimony to these holiday trips and observations he made during these first years of direct contact with his new «homeland».
